REMAX REAL ESTATE (KAMLOOPS)

Being a life long resident of Kamloops and area has allowed me to enjoy so much of what the area has to offer. I have watched our hub city (Hwy 5A, Hwy 5 Yellowhead, Hwy 1 Trans Canada and Hwy 97),  become a force with a population of 115,000 plus people and ever expanding recreational, educational, commercial, industrial and residential opportunities.

Kamloops has remarkable golf courses and lots of sunshine. Talking Rock Golf Resort, Bighorn Golf & Country Club, Tobiano Golf Course, The Dunes at Kamloops, Kamloops Golf & Country Club, The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort, Eaglepoint Golf Resort and Rivershore Estates & Golf Links.

Kamloops has 100 plus lakes within an hour of the city, many stocked with Kamloops trout. Many folks canoe or kayak on these lakes. Lots of great hiking and backpacking around Kamoops as well. Kamloops and area is famous for its Hoo Doo's.  Well Gray Park in Clearwater is beautiful with 40 plus amazing waterfalls and is renowed for its hiking trails.

The South Thompson and Shuswap's are great for boating, waterskiing, kneeboarding, tubing and barefoot skiing. House boat rentals are available to enjoy the Shuswaps, especially if you want to slow down abit.

Kamloops has two ski hills. One Harper Mountain with a tube park, about 29 km from downtown Kamloops. Their lodge is welcoming with a large fireplace in the center of the room and snacks and meals available. Sun Peaks is located 56 km northeast of Kamloops. It has 4270 acres of skiable terrain and a European-style ski through village filled with quaint shops, cafes, eateries and accomodations from hotels to condo stays. There is Nordic skiing, dog sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides and in the summer hiking, biking and golf. Photo shoots are available on the mountain.

I am a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Kamloops. We focus on meeting the needs of seniors and children including youth.

We have a bursary program going out to High School students carrying on with their education. We participate in the spring and fall Kamloops Food Drive. That brings in between 60 and 70,000 lbs of food, Our Kamloops Food Bank helps to supply food to outlying areas of Kamloops and is a great resource for our organizations that supply meals to the homeless and struggling.

We bring in an international student every year that we share with the Aurora Rotary Club. Coco is our student this year and has been a wonderful addition to our rotary and to our lives. She is outgoing and involved in her school and community. They are here for approximately one year.

The Rotary Club of Kamloops main fundraising event is the
Chefs in the City. Its a spectacular night at TRU Grand Hall with 20 restaurants, wineries and breweries. We are just bringing it back this year after we were shut down by covid, as so many events were.

We also participate in the Starfish Backpack program. We meet at the Kamloops Food Bank and pack up cloth bags for school children, that they take home Friday from school. Its items that are easy to cook so that they have food for themselves and their siblings on the weekend. Teachers identity the kids that would benefit from this program.

Welcome!

Pete and I bought our 67 Mustang 8 years ago and have enjoyed the car very much. It was my

lifelong dream to be able to purchase a car like this. We found it in a garage in White Rock and

it had not been driven in 18 years. A GARAGE FIND.

5 years ago, we joined the Pharoahs's Car Club

and have enjoyed Hot Nite in the City (yearly August event in Kamloops along with Ribfest),

Chrome on the Grass, Easter Parade and out of town car shows. A great group of people and we do

events with the Roadman, Kamloops Street Rod Association and Vintage Car Club Kamloops Chapter.
